Sky graduated from Lakeland College in Vermilion, AB in 2015 and has been working at the High Prairie Veterinary Clinic since. She is a hometown girl and enjoys working with the clients of High Prairie. She takes a special interest in canine and feline nutrition and behavior but enjoys working with dogs, cats, horses and cows alike. When she’s not working at the clinic she enjoys snowshoeing or hiking with her dogs or out riding her horse on her parent’s ranch.
Brittany Plettl

Brittany Plettl

Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT)

Brittany graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Olds College in 2015.

She loves all aspects of her job and the fact that she gets to work every day doing what she truly loves. She finds her career very rewarding and is grateful to be involved in veterinary medicine.

Brittany is excited to be a part of High Prairie Veterinary Services and to work with such a wonderful team. Currently, she has one feisty but loving cat at home named Skye but hopes there will be more to come. In her spare time, she is passionate about volunteering with the Alberta Spay Neuter Taskforce and being involved with the community. Brittany also enjoys spending her time on her small photography business and being outdoors. One thing to remember about Brittany is that she really loves cats and ice cream!

Lauren Harper

Lauren Harper

Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT)

Lauren graduated from Fairview College in the spring of 2014 as an RVT. She has worked at a variety of small animal veterinary clinics in Alberta, but now has found a home at High Prairie Veterinary Services. Lauren is very excited to be expanding her tech skills in large animal veterinary medicine. If she is not found at the clinic snuggling every puppy, kitten, cow and alpaca, she will be found working with her family on their ranch in Joussard – yes, she is the one with the cows along the highway! Lauren also enjoys hiking, riding her horse and fishing in her spare time.

Bianca Mullenders

Bianca Mullenders

Veterinary Medical Receptionist (VMR)

Bianca never expected to put down permanent roots in High Prairie but fell in love with people and the area. She has been at the clinic since 2017 and enjoys all the interactions with the clients and animals alike. When not at work she can be found at home chilling with her family, dogs and cats. She enjoys day tripping with Grant and going on their little adventures.
Tsunami

Tsunami

Clinic Cat

Tsunami is the clinic’s resident and team leader. She was left as a kitten at the clinic’s doors about 12 years ago and the staff decided to keep her on. Between scheduled naps and meals she keeps the staff on their toes and greets clients. Tsunami has also been known to help student techs and vets with restraint, dental and various other tasks to help them learn better. Tsunami enjoys pets, only when requested, cuddles with Bianca and her food dish full.
