Full Time Mixed-Animal Veterinarian
We are searching for a veterinarian with experience and background in mixed animal practice to provide veterinary services and contribute to the professional scope of this community. This small, close-knit veterinary team is seeking a veterinarian is who is courageous and seeks adventure by working in a rural community steeped in agricultural small-town living.

Worried about on-call? Starting in January 2021, we will be leading the way with TeleTriage using a team of experienced RVT’s. That’s right, your after-hour calls will be triaged by RVT’s so that when you get a call, it’s only because emergency veterinary care is urgently needed. You’ll be given accurate signalment, history, and on-call fees will have already been discussed.

The community of High Prairie is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, with a large lake community close by. The town has a variety of amenities and has a close-knit, small-town feel whose residents are very appreciative of veterinary care. Two major centers; Grande Prairie and Edmonton are two and four hours away respectively.

Recruitment is aimed at an experienced, mixed animal practitioner that can provide exceptional patient care and client service in rural practice. A diverse caseload with all species, current diagnostic equipment, mentoring within the practice, and access to an experienced partner group are all on offer to the right candidate. Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our progressive, mixed animal practice in High Prairie!

High Prairie Veterinary Services (HPVS) by Mosaic Veterinary Partners (MVP) is looking to add to our team of exceptional staff. This is a full-time, permanent position Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break.

The Job:
Our RVT’s must display a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and commitment to animal care, while possessing strong organizational skills, excellent telephone and in-person communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Our employees are passionate show great compassion for animals and their owners and understand the stress that patients and clients endure. As we are a mixed animal practice, RVT’s must be comfortable working around multiple species of animals. Our RVT’s daily duties comprise of the following, but they are not limited to these duties: nursing care, anesthesia, diagnostic imaging and testing, client education and interaction including admissions and discharges, filling prescriptions, and attending farm calls with DVM’s as needed.

The Environment:
RVT’s can expect to spend nearly all of their workdays on their feet assisting DVMs and clients and be able to lift pets and objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Days can get busy and crazy so our RVT’s must be prepared to work in a busy, fast-paced environment!

Graduate of an accredited two-year veterinary technology program; registered or eligible for registration with ABTVA/ABVMA. Competence in the English language, patience, and a pleasant manner are absolute musts.
